II Examen Nacional Voluntario de Guatemala 2019

En 2014, Guatemala aprobó el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo K’atun: Nuestra Guatemala 2032 (PND), y en 2016 priorizó la Agenda 2030 integrando 99 metas al PND, de las cuales se identificaron 16 como metas estratégicas que se agrupan en 10 Prioridades Nacionales. Por ello, la Revisión Nacional que presenta el país en 2019 incluye el análisis de los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) a través de las 10 Prioridades.

El informe que hoy presenta Guatemala revisa los primeros 5 años de vigencia del PND y fue elaborado con la participación e insumos de instituciones públicas, municipalidades, consejos de desarrollo, cooperación internacional, sector empresarial, y sociedad civil. Se construyeron múltiples espacios de diálogo y consulta que proveyeron información muy valiosa sobre las acciones implementadas, los avances percibidos y los desafíos que aún persisten en el país.

II Voluntary National Review of Guatemala 2019

In 2014, Guatemala approved the National Development Plan K'atun: Our Guatemala 2032 (NDP), and in 2016 prioritized the 2030 Agenda by integrating 99 goals into the NDP, of which 16 were identified as strategic goals that are grouped into 10 National Priorities. Therefore, the National Review presented by the country in 2019 includes the analysis of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the 10 Priorities.

The report presented today by Guatemala reviews the first 5 years of the NDP and was prepared with the participation and input of public institutions, municipalities, development councils, international cooperation, the business sector and civil society. Multiple spaces for dialogue and consultation were created that provided valuable information on the actions implemented, the progress perceived and the challenges that still persist in the country.
