II Informe Nacional Voluntario de Honduras, 2020

Las lecciones aprendidas durante la preparación del primer INV y las que hemos experimentado con este segundo informe, nos permiten concluir que no solo se trata de recopilar información y hacer el análisis de la misma, sino que, quizás lo más relevante, es que se trata de un proceso participativo, con los diversos actores del gobierno y de la sociedad hondureña, que nos convoca a repensar juntos acerca de la enorme significancia que implican los objetivos para el desarrollo sostenible de la Agenda 2030 y si, como país, estamos haciendo lo necesario para avanzar en su cumplimiento.

Como parte de este II-INV, podemos manifestar a la comunidad internacional, que nos acompaña en este evento de presentación de nuestro informe, que hemos logrado avances importantes en los desafíos que dejamos explícitos en el primer INV, como son: la institucionalización de la Agenda Nacional de los ODS (AN-ODS) en el sistema nacional de planificación; el establecimiento, legitimización y operatividad del mecanismo de gobernanza de la AN-ODS; la territorialización de la misma; el fortalecimiento de los mecanismos para un monitoreo eficaz de los indicadores; y la apropiación creciente de la Agenda por las instituciones del Estado y de la sociedad hondureña.

En este II-INV, también podemos compartir con la comunidad internacional, en el marco del sistema de las Naciones Unidas, los avances que hemos logrado en función de los objetivos y metas para el desarrollo sostenible. No obstante, a la par de los avances también hemos podido identificar las metas nacionales que no se han logrado y que, por lo tanto, nos indican la importancia de redoblar esfuerzos.

II Voluntary National Review for Honduras, 2020

The lessons learned during the preparation of the first INV and those that we have experienced with this second report, allow us to conclude that it is not only about collecting information and analyzing it, but perhaps the most relevant thing is that it is a participatory process, with the various actors of the Honduran government and society, which calls us to rethink together about the enormous significance of the sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda and whether, as a country, we are doing what is necessary to advance in its fulfillment.

As part of this II-INV, we can state to the international community, which accompanies us in this event of presentation of our report, that we have made significant progress in the challenges that we left explicit in the first INV, such as: the institutionalization of the National Agenda for the SDGs (AN-ODS) in the national planning system; the establishment, legitimization and operationalization of the governance mechanism of the AN-ODS; the territorialization of the same; the strengthening of mechanisms for effective monitoring of indicators; and the growing appropriation of the Agenda by the institutions of the State and Honduran society.

In this II-INV, we can also share with the international community, within the framework of the United Nations system, the progress we have achieved in terms of the objectives and goals for sustainable development. However, along with the progress we have also been able to identify the national goals that have not been achieved and that, therefore, indicate the importance of redoubling our efforts.
